TITLE: Rose Kids Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Rose Kids
JOB TYPE: Part-Time (20 hours)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Rose Kids Assistant will be responsible for creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children during Sunday services and special events. This role involves team leadership, curriculum planning, and collaboration with volunteers to ensure a thriving children’s ministry.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in children’s ministry, teaching, or youth programming is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate volunteers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong administrative skills.
- A passion for working with children and a commitment to their spiritual development.
- Familiarity with relevant safety and child protection guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include but are not limited:
- Sunday Services Coordination:
- Help execute the children’s ministry during Sunday services, ensuring a seamless experience for kids and their families.
- Oversee the volunteer schedule and ensure all needed positions are covered.
- Assist with check-in/check-out processes.
- Prepare materials and resources for lessons and activities.
- Complete all administrative tasks prior to and during Sunday services.
- Event Planning and Execution:
- Help execute special events such as summer camp, holiday & sunday events.
- Collaborate with other church ministries to plan and execute church-wide events that involve children and families.
- Assist with coordinating childcare as needed for various church events and programs.
- Team Culture:
- Assist in fostering a positive team culture through regular communication, meetings, and encouragement.
- Assist in providing ongoing feedback and resources to enhance volunteer effectiveness and satisfaction.
- Assist in training processes and supporting volunteers in their roles within the ministry.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Implement and uphold safety protocols and child protection policies in accordance with church guidelines.
- Assist in ensuring all volunteers are trained and screened according to church safety standards.
- Assist in ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in the ministry on Sundays.

TITLE: Facilities Manager
DEPARTMENT: Operations
JOB TYPE: Part-Time (20 hours)
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and cleanliness of church property. This role includes managing facility operations, coordinating repairs, and performing janitorial duties to ensure a welcoming environment for church activities and community use.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in facilities management, janitorial services, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) is a plus.
- A commitment to the mission and values of the church.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties may include but are not limited:
- Facility Maintenance:
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure the facility is safe and functional.
- Coordinate and schedule repairs with contractors or volunteers.
- Oversee minor maintenance tasks as needed.
- Assist with installation of fixtures and appliances as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Janitorial Duties:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
- Ensure all areas are stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels).
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain emergency preparedness plans and conduct safety drills as needed.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order supplies as necessary.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
- Collaboration:
- Work with church staff and volunteers to address facility needs and concerns.
- Serve as the point of contact for facility-related inquiries from church members and outside groups.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work may be conducted indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- May require occasional evening and weekend work for special events.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse groups.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for community engagement and building meaningful relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Connect Group Management:
- Organize and facilitate small group gatherings to encourage connection and engagement among community members.
- Develop and maintain a schedule of regular meetings and connect groups based on what the needs are in the community.
- Serve as a point of contact for connect group leaders and participants, providing support and resources as needed.
- Event Planning and Execution:
- Plan and coordinate pop-up events and social gatherings that align with the community’s interests and needs.
- Community Building:
- Continue to build a welcoming environment where community members feel valued and heard.
- Identify and engage with potential community leaders and volunteers to expand our reach and impact.
- Collect and analyze feedback from community members to continually improve gatherings.
- Communication and Outreach:
- Maintain regular communication with community members through email, church center app, and in-person interactions.
- Represent Rose Church at community gatherings.
- Reporting and Evaluation:
- Track participation and engagement metrics for community gatherings and events.
- Prepare regular reports on community activities and outcomes to share with teams.
- Connect with the leadership team to develop strategies for enhancing community engagement.
